My research interests lie at the crossroad between money and politics and its implications for party politics, democratic governance and political corruption from a comparative perspective.

In my current research project, I investigate the relationship between the level of direct public funding provided by the state to political parties and political corruption across post-communist regimes from the outset of transition to nowadays.
